@DoloresHaze84 King Louis and his troop were based on Louis Prima and his band. He wasn't black and there wasn't a single black person in his band. I agree that alot of these cartoons are pretty dubious, but you have to be careful not to look for racism where there is none. Some might say that your assumption speaks more of your own preconceptions than of those contained in the Jungle Book clip.

The reason for all kinds of racism in these old movies is because all of these were made before racism was less common. -.- Im only in 7th grade and I know all this is because MOST PEOPLE WERE RACIST BACK THEN the african american maids couldn't even use the toilets in white peoples' houses. Also, it was ILLEGAL for white people and colored people to...crossbreed. Thank God I wasnt born in the fifties or sixties cuz im a mutt XD
