This is me playing Pachelbel's romantic masterpiece, Canon in D. I made the mistake of trying to improvise about 3/4 of the way through the song, but I'm hoping it's not too noticable. This was a staple when I used to perform at weddings as a classical guitarist. By the sounds of it, I could use a little more practice. Enjoy!

  • Aim for center mass?

Do I sense some prior military influence?

Well done on the guitar piece. That's not an easy composition to do.

  • By the way, can you do Pavanne-Faure?

  • A couple minor mistakes but all in all a very respectable performance. I like your interpretation. Best wishes.

  • The most amazing thing is the way you move your left hand! Great performance! Bravo :)

  • Blah blah blah...lots of posts moaning about the lack of passion and what not. I like the faster tempo. This is a difficult arrangement at any speed, but you shred through it beautifully & effortlessly. And those hammer-ons & trills you throw in are a helluva lot more interesting than a "passionate" vibrato played at standard pace. yea it aint the philharmonic...more like Megadeth goes classical ;) I'm a 17yr guitar vet myself & from one player to another; I get your point here. Much respect

  • I love Canon in D. This is a wonderful rendition.

  • Well, it's played correctly, but I just miss the point in playing only one voice of the canon. It is generally said that the canon in D is barely classical music (very basic musical structure), but its interest lies in the "canon" part, the fact that each group of 8 bars (the chord structure) is written to be played along with group + 1 and group + 2. Playing it alone just sounds like a boring theme with variations, if you sing the canon in your head we can't hear it!

  • @aimforcentermass Respect the skills man. I had to comment. I agree that classical music is boring to play but someone at ure skill level has to have some kind of respect for the sophistication in its simplicity. based on your speed and fingering i'm assuming ure a metal fan (which shares more roots w/classical than other modern music). To parapharse Dimebag-its better to play 1 note that hits your soul than 10MM just cuz u can. Just makin a point. A great cover, now post something that shreds!!

  • @chillkroete23 It's youtube bro.

  • Very nice ! bravo
