Hezbollah is the only Muslim Army to ever defeat israel in its 60 year history..What the Arab nationalist armies of Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Egypt couldn't do in 67 and 73, the Islamic Resistance group did single-handed in 2006 during the 33-day war in Lebanon!

Hezbollah first emerged as a militia in response to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, also known as Operation Peace for Galilee, in 1982, set on resisting the Israeli occupation of Lebanon during the Lebanese civil war. Its leaders were inspired by Ayatollah Khomeini, and its forces were trained and organized by a contingent of Iranian Revolutionary Guards. Hezbollah's 1985 manifesto listed its three main goals as "putting an end to any colonialist entity" in Lebanon, bringing the Phalangists to justice for "the crimes they [had] perpetrated," and the establishment of an Islamic regime in Lebanon. Hezbollah leaders have also made numerous statements calling for the destruction of Israel, which they refer to as a "Zionist entity... built on lands wrested from their owners.

im Lebanese and i think the only way to improve Lebanon is to compromise with Israel instead of trying to fight one of the most powerful nations in the world. As u can see the last time Hezbollah tried to attack Israel, they failed miserably and by doing so they only set Lebanon back 30 years. For the past 80 years Arabs have been trying to fight israel and basically failing miserably to do so, i think its time to give up and make peace.

I'm a Muslim and a US citizen..I'm trying to vote for Presidents who will stop funding Israel. I vote for Obama cuz I thought he's Muslim, but instead he gave Israel 30 billions for the next decade as soon as he became president. IM SOO MAD. BUT there's another guy name Ron Paul and he's running for president in 2012,and he said the US should stop wasting money on Israel, and bring back US troops from middle east. Israel has done terrible things, but at least they have the excuse of doing it all for their families. It's one thing to oppress strangers for the sake of protecting your own loved ones. But Hezbollah and its ilk oppress Israel at the expense of their own families. Their hopeless war of revenge hurts nobody more than their own people,whom they seem perfectly willing to sacrifice for their own gratification.

Why should we in the West do anything but support the Israelis in this situation?
