@australianews Terry Hicks, however, claimed that his son seemed at first unaware, then sceptical, of the 11 September attacks when they spoke on a mobile phone in early November 2001. He also noted David Hicks commented about "going off to Kabul to defend it against the Northern Alliance

No argument about that. Interesting however, that you choose to accept the findings of a U.S court only when it suits you. I don't believe that the U.S constitution is adhered to in the spirit that it was intended anyway. Regardless of the charge, Hicks was intending to fight jihad against the west, including Australians.

RICHMOND, Va. - The Bush administration cannot use new anti-terrorism laws to keep U.S. residents locked up indefinitely without charging them, a divided federal appeals court said.
To sanction such presidential authority to order the military to seize and indefinitely detain civilians, even if the president calls them enemy combatants, would have disastrous consequences for the Constitution — and the country, the court panel said.

He is still a low life DOG!
And will always live with the foolish decisions he made. Like the fools who defend this DOG you will always have a battle because he's guilt is set in concrete.
Dick Head Hicks has said himself, and now he's not guilty! ha ha ha! "Let a man's yes be yes , and man's no be no". Like i said he's a DOG not a man.

So is attending a training camp assisting? Is associating with know terrorists assisting? Is being caught with weapons etc assisting? You call me un-Australian? I'm not the one who trained with al Qaeda. Hicks sure has you fooled which is sad as he really is a dim wit. "Too traumatized" to tell us why he was there and what he was doing? What a wanker. By the way. Do you know if he is still a Muslim? Is his dame still Muhammed Dawood?
In Guantanamo, Hicks had signed a statement written by American military investigators which read, in part, "I believe that al-Qaeda camps provided a great opportunity for Muslims like myself from all over the world to train for military operations and Jihad. I knew after six months that I was receiving training from al-Qaeda, who had declared war on numerous countries and peoples.

@australianews In October and November 2001 Hicks wrote multiple letters to his mother, Sue King, back in Australia. He asked that replies were to be directed to Abu Muslim Australia, a pseudonym he used to circumvent non-Muslim spies he believed intercepted correspondence. In these letters he detailed the validity of Jihad and his own prospect of "martyrdom."

@Caydn Thats why he was trying to escape afghanistan when he was arrested and charged with charges the WHOLE WORLD has not used since WW2.
The Americans are idiots and the arse licking liberals let him rot in jaol for years for doing NOTHING.
The liberals also agreed with torture being used because they are sick fuckers that need help.
The real criminals here are bush and howard.
Two wars that should never have been started and will take years to fix if we are able to fix them at all.
