Dr. Jeanne Loring, Director of the Center for Regenerative Medicine at the Scripps Research Institute, discusses building a database of gene expression data from ESC and iPSC lines generated around the world. By analyzing hundreds of pluripotent, Jeanne and her team were able to identify a gene expression signature which discriminated pluripotent stem cells from every other cell type analyzed.
