Suurin osa suurista viikinki legendoista syntyi 1800-luvun alkupuolella joten parhaimmassakin tapauksessa rurikin alkuperä on äärimäisen epäselvä , geneettiset todisteet sotivat aika paljon ruotsalaisten teorioita vastaa verrattuna tähän

  • wow great example how finns claim swedish history hahaha. varangians is a group of swedish vikings from uppsala sent to trade, mercenary and raid eastern europe. at that time there were no finns in sweden! the affiliation they had with finns is that they settled in russia (which was partly wpopulated with uralic and turkic peoples) and in ukraine. they later assimilated with the local people. varangians are swedish END. and what is "kyflings" and "finnish realm"?

  • How do you explain that Finns have shovel shaped teeth(asian trait)?

  • nice) nothing said about origin of Finns. nothing said about population of Novgorod(Veps, Chud I mean- they have another religion and culture. Slavs knew that this tribes can betray them & join Swedes). as we know there were many Slavic tribes that were organized by the Swedes in Kievan Rus'( Vikings, Varangians the same thing). after all came Suomi. And don't forget about Saami

  • @skizzo192 ..i doubt it; scandinavians are notoriously the least religious people on this planet..

  • hey im half finnish but i live in australia wich sucks haha, and i dont know much but want to learn more, and i just got the st. johns arms for a tattoo and i wanted more added to it could someone tell me wat would look good with it, as in aceint finnish art if they had celtic kind of stuff. did they have tattoos back then or some cool patterns they had on thier swords or something like that PLEEEEEEEEEASE

  • do any people in scandinavia still practice any of the ancient religions?

  • (CONT') They and other scholars mention the Varangians were originally from the Scandinavian peninsula, not the areas east of it. They DO mention the Kyflings as being from the areas around present day Saint Petersburg and Karelia and to the north.

I'm an American of Swedish and Finnish extraction, so I'm not as opinionated and stubborn like the rest of the regular Swedes and Finns on youtube.
