I couldn't agree more - registered here in the Uk (Anthony Nolan) and recently had the opportunity to donate. If you can, help save someone's life. It's easy to give / raise money but to actually commit to helping someone.....

I think the same idea has been touted over here too. But nothing ever gets done and the NHS is always screaming for more donors.

Thanks man, most people look at me like I am crzy to give my organs away to strangers, but I do not consider the organ me. When is your next techno mix video going to be uploaded?

I never knew that bone marrow could not be shared amongst different races, for blood and organs it is basically blood and tissue type. What about multi racial people? Is marrow acceptable from both or niether?

I think you have a better odd if you are multi-racial. The funny thing is now I got all this mail from the Marrow registry to verify my Info. Weird, Speak of the devil.

For those in the UK, get a Donor Card and carry it in your wallet. It is such an easy thing.

They are thinking of making everyone a Donor in the States. Then the effort will go to not becoming a donor which most people are lazy and probaly wouldn't do..

I guess i was brought up differently and i'm hispanic too. Maybe its because i grew up with kidney failure with family members. We are all donor registered and even though i've moved to denmark i've let my wishes be known to my friends and family here (there is no official way to register here) so they will make sure i get to donate my organs if something happens :) I actualy love the idea of giving life back to the world :)

Yeah, I guess if someone in our family had an issue like that, I think it would be looked at differently. It is said though that it would have to take that to make me be a donor. I am going to change my status.
