Police assault, G20 protest, 2nd April 2009

The black man is asking to be let out of the police cordon. Annoyed by his repeated request, the police start shoving him. A bystander remonstrates with an officer who cuffs her round the face with the back of his hand and tells her to go away. When she persists he extends his telescopic baton and strikes her on the legs. Note that the officer is not wearing a number to avoid identification. As the crowd grows angry another officer steps in and says "If you could all turn round; there's nothing to see is there?"
