My Grandfather was in Vietnam in 1971-72. He was SFC in 101st Screaming Eagles. I respect himso much. The same goes for all Veterans.

@renegadechopper It is inescapable historical reality that leaders of nations will lie to their people to trick them into wars they otherwise would have refused. It is not "conspiracy theory" to suggest that leaders of nations lie to trick their people into wars. It is undeniable fact, if you truly want to support your troops, stop being such a pro war country, stop allowing these men of power to manipulate you into believing these wars actually have honourable cause.

@renegadechopper President McKinley told the American people that the USS Maine had been sunk in Havana Harbor by a Spanish mine. The American people, outraged by this apparent unprovoked attack, supported the Spanish American War. The Captain of the USS Maine had insisted the ship was sunk by a coal bin explosion, investigations after the war proved that such had indeed been the case. There had been no mine.

In WWII the average time spent in combat for the average soldier was 10 days a year, in Vietnam it was 240 days a year, up to 30 days non stop, this war was a fucking joke, JFK wanted to pull the troops out, but the military couldn't have that. The war on terror's turning into another vietnam as well, 18 American troops commit suicide every day, what's that tell you about the operations going on down there, it's sickening.
