On October 17, 2009, at Arlington, VA, an event, Voice to Action: Muslims Against Domestic Violence, was organized by Dar al Islam, a New Mexico non-profit religious and educational organization. It was a historic meeting of several Muslim advocates, community and media activists against Domestic Violence. The highlights of the meetings are shown in these two videos. Altmuslimah.com, Peaceful Families Project, Islamic Social Services Association-USA and Karamah were the co-sponsors of this event.
ZAPS Medias CEO, Zerqa Abid, has been working as a consultant and project manager for Dar al Islam's initiatives against Domestic Violence in the Muslim community of America. ZAPS Media took care of the technical production of these videos too.
