I love to see how well Edgar Poe and Tim Burton would react to one another, both masters of horror. Poe able to bring out man's worst fears not with scares but with the unknown horrors that await the next turn of the page. Poe with the master of visual creative style and showing death and gloomy setting but always showing a perfect balance of positive and negative parts upon the big screen. Both of these people are really awesome and it is still sad to have what had happen to Edgar Poe. RIP.

It's as the birthplace of goths, pity that, as it is beautifully dark! An effortless masterpiece.

I loved this the first time I saw this, it's just fantastic. My absolute favourites all mashed together, it's so great. I love Tim, Vincent, Edgar, all of them. :)

Though Tim Burton is referencing a lot to Poe, I do not believe it is only the raven. Thank you for posting this video it is quite outstanding but you educate people falsely on the Raven and Poe. This is a reference to a number of Poe's works regarding his wife. Such as digging up the grave, isolation, etc. It is not JUST the Raven.

Neither is the host of this video educating people "falsely on the Raven and Poe," nor is Burton "referencing" a lot to Poe. The host is simply referring to the excerpts from Poe's poem itself and the multiple allusions to symbolism in that work of art. Any remaining "referencing" or semblance of Poe is seen through the interpretation of a child, and is thus neither the intentional nor accidental distortion of any given work. I agree that it is quite outstanding.
