Newly found video tapes of the McKenney family. Can't believe these 8mm reel-to-reel tapes are nearly half a century old. And to think they've been in my possession since 2001? Unbelievable!
I woudn't expect anybody outside of our immediately family to be interested in this stuff but I decided to post it (and others) so my family members and closest friends can view them if they like. My guess is a few old friends of my dad, Ron McKenney, might like to catch a glimpse of what he looked like in the early 1960's. My favorite parts are the segments where I appear with my dad and the quick glimpses of the original John's Pass Bridge and surrounding area. I also found my 'lil sister to be quite entertaining! This video was originally posted 9/4 then revised into what you see today.
Ah, seeing things how they used to be. However, I needed a defibrillator after the silent movie went Al Jolson and started to sing about six minutes in. Great stuff though.
