Recorded in 1971. Featuring Halldor Palsson on tenor sax (later recorded with ABBA among others), Ulfar Sigmarsson on Keyboards, Magnus Eiriksson on guitar, Palmi Gunnarsson on bass and vocals (appeared in the Eurovision song contest later on, with a song written by the guitar player Magnus Eiríksson. The name of that song was "Gledibankinn" and was the first time ever for Iceland to participate in that contest)and Eddie Svavarsson on drums. The song was written by Graham Bond, and was first recorded by his group "The Graham Bond Organisation" in 1965.

  • OK and now I know since Palmi told me today that this was not the Ponik nor Mannakorn, but a band that he and Maggi Einars formed and they named it The Blues Company :) so now we all know that :)

  • This isn't true either. The Blues Company came much earlyer. It was formed by me Magnús Eiriksson and a bassplayer called Garðar (don't remember his surname) who died a short time later. Diddi Cortes filled his place in that group. Palmi didn't come in until after 1975. I had then left the country. The group in this video was not a working group but was put together only for this particular recording. just to make things clear.
