  • Hey hun, how are you feeling??? I hope better! Smile :) Thank you so much for your posts...feel free to post anytime...whenever k!

  • I've had UC for 7 years now. I wish I could say there is hope, and there is probably somehow, but I am losing it. I refuse to take prednisone anymore, it doesn't work for very long after I stop and I have gained over 40 pounds on it. It really affects me in a bad way, it's just not worth it to me anymore especially since I'm only out of a flare for maybe a week after I'm done on it. Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks for your video.

  • Thank you for your post! Of course there is hope :) I should actually post a follow up video because over the past year, I have been doing really well- Thank G-d. Gained weight back, can eat a lot of foods, can go out and enjoy life again! Grant it, your stomach will most likely never be perfect...but close to is great! Stay strong and I'm telling you it'll all be good!!

  • I have cured my self from IBD. There is hope. It takes some time but I changed my diet and lifestyle and i'm better now. My doctor said diet has nothing to do with it but he is wrong. I have a site healthwatchman dot c o m I'm not here to promote myself. I just hate seeing people suffer and want to help others get well. There is hope everyone.

  • I have a question. My friend have UC, and her belly and stomach isn't flat. Is it UC consequences? is her stomach always be like now?

  • @xheather492 thyroid problems and colitis... dyou take big doses of vitamin D? beacuse sounds like you should! hope this helps.

  • @tobytobs83. I have had UC since september 2006. They had me on a high dose of steroids for 2 weeks. then set me up with azthoproin (i dont i spelled it right lol) that is a anti rejection medicine, i also take lialda which is suppose to help keep the ulcers under control, and rectal meds. They all work great, they are very powerful drugs. if you are still having issues, mention to your doctor about lialda, it works great for me, it may help you out as well.

  • For anyone having any IBDiseases, this website:

Healingwell . com is an amazing place to talk with others in a forum who have alot to say about what works for them! Good luck to everyone.

  • Hi Toby, great advice! Glad your in a better place than you were, this illness is horrible when its out of control, but having it since september, i've met regularlily with my naturopathic doctor and a GI doctor. I'm currently trying to get off prednisone (as slow as possible) and asacol, but i'm also taking Aloe Vera Juice (a shot glass) a day before breakfast, its amazing and has so many health benefits! Look into Slippery Elm tea too and L-Glutamine. Low Fiber is great also, good luck!

  • Also because UC is auto-immune, our immune systems are more suppressed than others. Daily multivitamins and such things as airborne and flu shots, when illnesses are going around, serve it very well.

  • @tobytobs83 Also, you should take daily probiotics. There are prescriptive probiotics out there specifically for UC patients. If you haven't done so yet, you should ask your doctor about them. Dairy doesn't bother me, so I eat the Weight Watchers (though I don't need to watch my weight) yogurts, because they have pre- and probiotics. Even if they have them, I still mix probiotics into them. Yogurt is one of the best things one with UC can eat

  • @tobytobs83 Hope you're still doing well; my UC is, for the most part, in remission right now.
