Justifies it? Nope, I didn't say that. I'm simply saying it has to be put into context, and that you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. They did horrible things, based on terribly flawed beliefs that modern science and law have corrected, but this doesn't mean their other ideas are any less valid or critical for understanding how government and liberty interact.

It can be used to build a beautiful house for needy wayward souls, providing hope & solace.
