In 2010 eight-year-old Reilly Johnson won the 100th running of the Dipsea Race in Marin County, California. The course starts out with three flights of stairs totaling 685 steps.

On April 23, 2011 Dipsea Race and Foundation president Merv Regan dedicated a stair with an oval bronze plaque to commemorate Reilly's feat.
