What is the point of this? I mean, do they actually 'see' and interact with each other when given a command, or are these just pre-programmed motions made to mimic independent action? if the latter, then this strikes me as very pointless.

@mrplease66 The point is to show an autonomous interaction between two robots to help each other. It's a first step, but it show how we could begin. the current interaction use the voice and the touch between two robots: the standing one send a signal is ready to the other by touching its head.

If you look carefully at the video, you will see that the standing NAO will tap the sitting one one the head. It's a signal meaning: "I'm ready"!
