Top Ten Disturbing Levels in Non-Horror Video Games

Well it's that time again.

If there's one time a year that you're guaranteed a countdown, it's Halloween. Maybe it's the fact that it's a huge marketing holiday or the fact that people just go crazy with creepy stories or just strange behaviour. But I'm a countdown maker so I let my editing do the work for me.

The idea for this countdown came about after hearing that mediamaster127 took down his 'Top Fifteen Disturbing Moments in Non-Horror Games'. It got me wondering about the more sustained disturbing moments in video games, the disturbing video game levels, where the game picks you up and puts you in incredibly weird and unusual situations. And here are my favourites. Again, this is just my personal opinion and I'd appreciate it if you'd respect it, even if it isn't the same as yours.

As a kid almost everything about Majora's Mask traumatised me. Also I'm kinda dissappointed there's no Desert of the Knaaren (or whatever it was called) from Rayman 3.

I think Dire, Dire Docks is scarier than Big Boo's Haunt. The eel would always scared the living flesh out of me, and I'm still scared of it today.

I say the Shadow Temple trumps all scary shit from Zelda games. Terrifying music? Blood stains everywhere? Zombie? Guillotines? Hands that fall from the ceiling grabbing you? Invisible shit everywhere? Gloomy dark atmosphere? That level fucked with my head.

I'm glad you put something from the Prime games on there too, those get overlooked in scary shit. Although the Research Facility in MP1 freaked me out alot more.

Yeah Majora's Mask!!! It's probably the most disturbing LoZ game. I think it was a bit more interesting than OoT but I like OoT more because of the story.

Oh god not G.F.S Valhalla(sorry for any spelling errors). It is the only thing in prime 3 that completely stopped my progress for 5 whole months it had me on scaried shitless.

Scarecrow nearly gave me a heartattack at first PT. I woulda put the Treasure Hunting stages(mostly) from Sonic Adventure 2, and/or Vicious Voodoo from Sly Cooper on this list.
