the lighting is a tad better if you were there in person, but after a while you get used to using the controls without paying full attention to them.
also - i switch off between this set and the cdjs so i stay fluent on both.

Dude I need your help. I'm deciding between a CD turntable or a vinyl turntable, i'm gonna get one for sure. I don't know which. I know cd tables have their downs when it comes to scratching but I also know that vinyl takes a lot more attention and money, like replacing needles n shit, what would be a better buy?

Replacing needles isn't a huge expense... but vinyl tables definitely require a little extra care and attention.
Vinyl is a lot more fun to play on, but i still play both my setups just to stay fluent on both.
I'd say start on a pair of basic CDJ's - with no scratch capability-ex:pioneer cdj200. Then get vinyl, since you would know to beatmatch at that point it'll be easier to switch; you only need to learn the nuances of controlling a vinyl table, not that and beatmatching at the same time.
