Two Voices 4/10

In this true made-for-tv movie Sybil Goldrich (Mary Mcdonnell) has breast cancer and reconstructive surgery; Kathleen Anneken (Gail O'Grady) chooses to have breast implants. They both suffer from symptoms they were not warned about. Who would have guessed the drug companies and the medical community are hiding something from the public with the government's endorsement? The two join forces to fight the system, at the same time dealing with their different socio-economic backgrounds, "style" and families.

When Kathleen said that Sybill sounded like someone who dividies people with AIDS into two categories, that reminded me of the Golden Girls episode called "72 Hours." It's true what Kathleen said..."we were both misled." Common pain can create a common bond to combat a common problem. Great film!

@mrsluv78 I agree...although Sybil would not have had breast implants had she not had cancer she still had them done afterwards because she was concerned about her looks so either way she is not much better in that sense....does that make sense??

@77ukraine yes i remember that episode...sad..sophia kept labeling a "R" for rose after rose using a coffee cup...i love golden girls i watch it all the time. but back to the movie. sybil is acting kind of selfish. i understand what she is saying. but still they both are going through the same complaints.

after she heard the other lady had implants for purely cosmetic reasons, she sort of wrote her off and basically said it to her face. what a bitch.
