The Stooges and the M.C.5 were the first Punk rock groups as we know it now The year was 1969. It had grown from garage rock from the 60's The Count Five, the Seeds Human Beinz etc...tons of bands like that In N.Y.C..Patti Smith Television, The Ramones, The Dictators & Blondie started making noise around 1975 and the whole scene exploded around 1977. I know 'cause i was there.I also tried out for singer in the reformed Misfits and my friend produced the first two albums.
