Sir William "Mark" Tully is a super journalist from BBC he server for BBC in India and has covered some of the most important events in the history of India and Pakistan.

He was born in 1935 in Calcutta, India He worked for BBC for a period of 30 years before resigning in July 1994. He held the position of Chief of Bureau, BBC, Delhi for 20 years.
Since 1994 he has been working as a freelance journalist and broadcaster based in New Delhi. He is currently the regular presenter of the weekly BBC Radio 4 programme Something Understood.
