Buy a Opel Ampera( not that I am mad on opel) but it has a "Range extender" which gives “unlimited range” after discharge of battery which goes apporox for 80 km . The Inbuilt engine generate electricity for the battery which provide electro for motor power, benefit of electricity car for the first 80 km after that as normal car .. but for many ppl daily use 80 km is more then enough. So you will save lot of money & zero emission :)

Well, the Leaf might be an ok electric car that might help us keep off of dependence on foreign oil......but why the heck is it so hideous??....man, it's so damn ugly that I definitely wouldn't buy one!!!....the car designers who styled this car should be sent to the gas chamber!

@alpha11ish Because its not researched enough. You can't just throw something out there hoping it meets every expectations of a car.

@RingneckDoveFan Ah it is terrible.Mcdonalds is for fat ppl only so i wont be going there. Will the range improve, why wast the range great to begin with, why launch a car with such a short range knowing that the public what a car with a range of 1000klm not 150klm.
-
But isn't hydrogen power really explosive? I think the only downside to it is that we have to make it.
-
The range is not that terrible... for people in Europe, this car is perfect. McDonalds isn't a hundred miles away, nor is the gym, supermarket, daycare, or your job.
Plus, that range will improve as more research is put into these cars.
-
lovely car but, whats to stop someone unplugging it when its charging on the street.the range is terrible.how long do the batteries last and when there life is up i assume so is the car so that's only about 7/10 yrs.
-
And the bigger the market for the car, the cheaper and more efficient the technology becomes
-
@MADMANx511 ...hydrogen is dead....

The petrol cars emit the carbon in the town where we live. But electric factorys emit carbon away from places where people live. Electric cars is the future!
I have waken up from more than a few dreams about owning this car.

I don't give a shit about how much CO2 any car emits, I just don't want half of my economy held to ransom by crazy Arabs with oil fields.
This is a great car to reduce the demand of petrol for the city drivers.
If every city-metro car owner opted for these 100% electric cars it would make petrol at the pump cheaper for people who still need petrol cars & would make petrol cheaper at the pump globally.
If China & India thirsted for these cars & not petrol cars, we'd pay a cosy price for petrol.
