Ford mustangs are base model cars that were made to be modified in the aftermarket. Ford motorsport even supplies most of these aftermarket parts. To make fun of the mustang is to not understand this fact! You can take a gt500 put on a 8k supercharger and 10k of suspension parts and make a Lamborghini look stupid in a race as you pass it like it was parked. I know b/c I've done it.

The MSRP on the Lamboghini Murcielago is $333,000 - $365,800 and on the Galardo is $179,000 - $217,000. The Shelby STARTS at 57k. the price dif is around 120k - 180 depending on the model not 360k. its impressive the power you can get out of a mustang but there ugly and useless at doing anything other than strait and fast, try going around a corner. then you will know why u paid 56k and he paid 200k

mustangs are not super cars....so no point racing these supercars. Go get whipped by Ford in F1 like Ferrari was if you want supercar competition. right now the mice are playing there coz Ford aint in F1.

people miss the point with the gallardo.. its a fashion item garnished with exotic (expensive) stuff.. interior pieces from an audi A8,bespoke direct injection v10,legendary quattro 4wd.. these things cost money but they dont nessacarily make speed... comparing to the mustang... you'd buy a mustang because you like cars and want cheap supercar thrills... you buy a gallardo if you have more money than sense and want something to show off with.. the mustang's live rear axle is still a liability

The point is a 250k Lambo isn't worth the money. Shelby? Maybe, but you can just as easily buy a 6k 05 v6 mustang. Buy a built 5.0 coyote crate motor, 6 speed, built 8.8, and a turbo kit for like 20-25k. Then it's brakes, suspension, and body work and paint like another 10k. So for a grand total of like 45-50k you can have a 850rwhp mustang that's streetable and custom, or for another 200k a stock 500awhp Lambo. How is that a hard choice to pick from? Mustang FTW again

Get ready boys because for 2013 Ford will have the most powerful v8 in America. Starting in 2013 the Shelbys wil have the 351 v8,supercharged with 650hp and a top speed of 200 mph and the gt Mustang will be 430 hp. That shelby is going to piss all over Vettes and a Ferarri. Chevy can't keep up and never will because Ford is ahead of the game.
