http://www.elclasificado.com , There is a world of beautiful sages to discover. They come in many colors, forms, scents and uses. Here is, salvia leucantha AKA "Santa Barbara sage," salvia microphylla AKA "Hot Lips Sage," Salvia elegans, commonly called Pineapple sage. And here is Jerusalem Sage, known as phomis. In early April, the very first yellow flower is just beginning to bloom. This sage has a wonderful tiered form. Soon flowers will bloom intermittently on the stems. Sages are magnets to hummingbirds and butterflies. They're very drought tolerant. In the winter I usually cut them down to about one foot from the ground. After a robust growing season, this one gets as tall as 8 feet.
