Wellesley College's Katie Chanpong, Class of 2010, and Madeleine K. Albright, Class of 1959, discuss the Madeleine Korbel Albright Institute for Global Affairs, which educates women to fulfill leadership positions, strengthen the role of women in international relations, and inform policy discussions and academic thought in global affairs. Integrating the academic resources of Wellesley and the research capabilities of the Wellesley Centers for Women with the insights of global thought leaders, the Albright Institute enhances the academic community of Wellesley, and students take this knowledge into the world. Designed as a multifaceted program, the Albright Institute offers learning and teaching opportunities for the Wellesley community. For Wellesley students, the program serves as a springboard for those considering a public-sector career in international affairs and global relationsor for students considering any career that deals with global issues. Approximately 40 students will be chosen to participate in the program as Albright Fellows each year; Fellows will take part in Wellesley College-funded summer internships.
