Scientists with the Dauphin Island Sea Lab are surveying the shark populations in the more shallow waters off Alabama. It's an attempt to track the population and keep a watch on any changes in the costal ecosystem. The Press-Register (http://www.al.com/mobileregister/)joined them Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, as they caught nearly 40 sharks including a 9-foot great hammerhead.
