Cody is a thick, average two-way player as a catcher and at 3B that will graduate in 2013. Currently, he projects best as a catcher for the next level. He displays a solid setup with feet working in line with his target through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times show a range of 2.18-2.41 with an average of 2.30. He shows an easy arm action but will benefit by getting on a long toss program to aid in developing more arm strength and lowering pop times. Receiving skills are outstanding as he displays soft hands and works around the baseball. Blocking skills are well above average and will play well at the next level. At 3B, feet are accurate but needs to play through balls with his body. Glove action is soft, clean, and sure as he makes the routine plays. Offensively, Campo shows a balanced approach with quick hands that flash bat speed. Swing path is level and he has strength with the baseball jumping off his bat when centered. Hitting and power grades will improve as he keeps the barrel through the ball at contact. With 2 years to further develop, Cody has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.

  • one thing I noticed on your throw downs you stood straight up on most of them stay down!

  • Need to stride hands back knee trigger and get to a power triangle at contact point. You never stop that forward motion needs to be eliminated.

  • more hips in your swing and get lower in your stance

  • Agreed with below, follow your throws - especially as an infielder because it puts less strain on your arm and allows your motion to all be in the same place. You look like you could change your hitting a little too, perhaps bend your knees more slightly? You grounded nearly every belt high or lower pitch.

  • He looks like a first baseman but his feet move like a short stop.

  • He's a good fielder, but I'd advise him to start following his throws.

  • I absolutely love them! Will never go with anything but them

  • good job. what do you think of the wilson catchers gloves?

  • good fielder. pretty quick hands

  • Good catching IQ but you hit to many grounders
