So yeah im right there with you. Safety is the #1 issue, then fun.
But you have those people that either done care for the rules or their own personal saftey or others for that matter... As well as the people that are like that Iron worker that has had no close calls in 35 years so he feels safe without his safety net... till he falls and dies.

Sorry... I couldnt tell what side you were on, just that you sounded sarcastic and you confused me. Still though they care fire up to or past 420fps if turned all the way up on some which is way way way faster then 200mph =p. 420 fps could kill you. It will definitely go through paintball netting =p.
As for not being a toy. On every marker i own it says in raised text that you can not remove, save using a grider, "NOT A TOY, READ MANUAL BEFORE USE! MISUSE MAY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!"

Point is, why be so butt-hurt about a paintball gun? I mean, he's right. They aren't toys. But that's exactly why there are rules to buying paintball guns and rules while playing paintball.

Learn 2 math? And no it doesnt take a jet engine to make a car go 200mph... it takes a jet engine to make a car go 763mph (which is the current land speed record as of '97). Also on another note, the fastest pitch in baseball is 107.9mph. Why couldnt a paintball go faster?
I think you may be a kid? Speed is not measured by direct distance traveled, but by how long it would take it to travel a distance.

I mean,
It takes freaking jet engines on a car to make it go 200 mph, so it's TOOTALLY possible for compressed air to make a paintball go two hundred MILES PER HOUR.
Try around 200-300 feet per second.
Yeah it may sound bad to a pansy or something but with gravity and air pressure affecting the projectiles, they drop off WAY earlier than 200 miles.
Just saying.
