This Land Rover 90 was nut & bolt rebuilt between Jan 2011 and Oct 2011 (With Big Eight and Gangreen in between too!) It ended up on 33" tyres. It has a 200TDi engine, 2" longer springs, 2" spring spacers and a 2" body lift! ...it goes like stink!!!!!
Hi MrMiniman43, I'm in the middle of a 100 inch series 2a v8 build at the moment. Most of the mechanical stuff I've done. Starting into the bodywork now. My question is do you ever paintstrip the body work or always just sand it? Just wondering which is easier or best results? The tub I'm using has been painted at least 6or7 times over the years in various colors and paint types
@brianmor1972 HI paint striper the body work is very nasty. to put on panels.i have had this problem before if you get a rag and put some thinners it then rub the panels.see if it react.if it does then rub it down well you can get a primer that you can put on.and that will stop your top coat from reacting.
it takes to mush to get rid of residue from the paint striper.thank you for your comment.
@MrMiniMan43 Great project there fella. I especially like the chequer plate on the inside, nice and simple fix. Tell me do you have measurements for the floor and seat box sides? I'm thinking of doing mine some time this year :)
@Ifreann666 How I've done it, I used the original floor piece as a template, marked the checker plate with it adding 3" towards the bulkhead - and bent it up to fit flush to to the bulkhead floor. Best of luck.
