Interesting how some point out what they feel is negative. I see, ONLY, one thing, here, and that is what is positive! Thanks for putting this blues classic on here! This tune hits me right in the heart... and that is the way the blues is supposed to be.

@vsthomps No, I didn't end up going. Tickets were too expensive, and we were saving up to move to a better apartment. I have several BB King 78s, though--most in pretty scratchy condition--and it would have been nice.

Oh man! Don't play 50's records on a Victrola. They were not made for that. The shellac is much too soft. You will ruin them!

@2agray These records were in pretty rough shape to begin with. The Victrola picks up a fair amount of surface noise in general, which masks how scratchy and worn the record is. Also, the amount of record wear is largely dependent on the machine and needle used. This is an Orthophonic, which has much better compliance than most acoustics (thanks to an aluminum diaphragm and ball bearing-supported needle bar), and I've tested many needle types to find which cause the least amount of wear.
