32 lb Blackfin Tuna shot this year in the Gulf of Mexico. Pending world record. This was shot with some experimental Pole Spears we have been working with Riffe. This year I've been hunting alot with the Pole spears and shooting lots of Pelagics, Wahoo, tunas, Dorado, African Pompano, Cobia etc. This fish surpasses the previous Spearfishing World record by more than 4 lbs!!! So I am really stoked.

i hate to inform you guys but i have a mate who is a tuna fisherman out of Port Lincoln in South Australia and he's speared and caught bluefin tuna over 50lbs on many many occasions. I'll get some photos and send it to you. He obviously had no idea about world records. He speared 1 once that was around 5 feet long but lost it and everything else when a big 16 ft white pointer came from beneath and attacked the tuna and took off with it and his gun

nice, he's spearfishing off key west about 60 to 90 miles in the gulf where the shrimp boats fish and dump their by catch. large schools of bonita and blackfin tuna along with cobia follow the boats. easy spearing but lots of sharks. my biggest was 34 lbs and i have the pics to back it up but that was with my wong not a pole spear so hats off to you for the pole spear cameron. this is a trip every diver should try to exprience
