The first startup of my 1939 Lister CS 5/1 after a total rebuild - New crank bearings, big and little end bearings, new piston and rings...etc.

  • It was a length of Steel Angle that was resting up against the garage wall - The earth moves for my little baby....you can feel the concrete floor moving when it's running.

  • Top engine thats how they SHOULD run!

  • if you scroll thru the video quickly, you notice that the engine slides along the concrete about 6"

  • That bit of kit falling off the bench scared the crap outta me by the way.

  • For a minute there I though it blew a smoke ring when it first started ;-)

  • Nice engine.I have an SR running on wvo,it will charge batteries for our house!!
