I was in Zurich a few days ago and decided to shoot a clip of various DROPS. Top Rock is fresh on its own but we can't forget about the DROP. It's the quick touch to the floor, spin down or split. Top Rock is a part of the first Hip Hop dance known as Breakin'/B-boyin' which has ground elements as well as stand up dance steps and grooves. I feel if you don't at least learn a few go downs or some DROPS then you may not fully understand the dance. In this video I demonstrate a few examples/ideas.....PEACE!!!

  • @IamHopers "Good artists borrow, great artists steal." -- Pablo Picasso. I get what you're saying about intent and trying to copy just makes you a poor man's __________. That said, all of us get inspired by others if we love what we're doing, and it's hard to ever say/do something fully new, but we can always be authentic to ourselves and stay fresh, if we're not 100% original (the impossible dream, but a noble one). Our personalities can be unique and revise (re-envision) the past. Respect.

  • @seymourglass26 ok but if u start practicing the thing because u saw in the video and find it very cool, that`s too much "inspirational" to me.... doesn`t matter if the move isn`t revolutionary... it doesn`t need to be. The DANCE creativity is always simple, but dictated by the music + your style. Luckly, people pay attention only in the move itself, that`s how we distinguish a biter... cuz the move will seem a little bit "out of position".

    peace

  • @IamHopers You just got to put your flavor on it. These moves aren't revolutionary or new, just done very stylishly.

  • And that, friends, is how you get down, haha.

  • inspiration!
