The Central Organization of Trade Unions-COTU is threatening to sue Mumias Sugar company for failing to release cash to the Mumias out growers company, MOCO. COTU secretary general says the delay to release the cash has seen 160 employees of the farmers company go without salaries for the last 20 months.
Why the hell would you work for 20 months with no pay ?

Where have you been Bwana Atwoli for the past 20months since Jan 2009 when workers have not been paid??? Had you done this in March that year we would have felt you are a serious Labour Unionist. Now you are proving to be a mere seeker of publicity

Perhaps it is time employers are slapped with fines and interest for not paying their employees within a stipulated time. It is tantamout to slavery to have someone work for you for 20 months and not payh/er and if this is true then I would not only blame the arm of the gov. concerned(ministry of labour) but also the loud mouthed Atwoli. How on earth can a trade union let this happen under its watch? Am beggining to to think you are a good for nothing loud, big mouth Mr Atwoli. Beyond belif

@siasabora Now I have understood why some media houses post videos without audio. Its the peculiar Kenyans way of using there hands more than their mouths when speaking. Have you seen the Citizen mic nose dive at 0:21. There goes another empty mkebe. Too much noise and no thinking or action by everybody! I'm disgusted.

why hold a press conference on Union matters? shouldn't the Union boss be behind doors talking tough to the employers as he bargains for workers rights? leave publicity to politicians Atwoli.
