BMW's Hydrogen Race Car

In the not too distant future, BMW will start production on their first cars that will run on hydrogen instead of gasoline. This video is of their testing of their high performance hydrogen engine. This vehicle is on record as being the fastest hydrogen vehicle in the world.

I you use hydrogen in a internal combustion engine like bmw and mazda...you will still get pollutants....because a small amount of lubricating oil is burnt is the process. However a fuel cell car ie hondas..there is no pollutants. The only zero emission car is electric or a fuel cell.

burning hydrogen is the way to go. it just needs to get a little cheaper to acquire hydrogen.

There is a VERY large misconception here. Fuel cells are a marketing adage, completely and utterly useless. The only way to go is to simply modify the gasoline engine to run on STRAIGHT hydrogen. Also, the octane rating is above 130... more horsepower :)
