Sly and the Family Stone was a psychedelic rock, funk and soul band from San Francisco, California. Sly Stone was the lead singer. He was a multi-instrumentalist as well a songwriter and record producer. They were an active band from 1966 to 1983 and had many hits. S&TFS's songs bring back alot of cool memories for me as a teenager. They were one of the bands I loved to groove to on the drums so doing these covers is a sort of blast from the past. I do impart my own bit of improve but believe I stay true to the structure and sound of the the song. This video is intended for the purposes of education, comparison and critiquing.

@martin84125 Thanks Martin...To be honest I had never heard the song before. I know...I can hear you now...what the F$%k....what !!...does that guy have his head in the sand...I think I should have known this tune...Well I went right to YT and logged the song in and took a listen. Very cool, very different, esp the vocals....I put it in my to do bucket...actually my ipod so it's a start...
