【第5回MMD杯本選】 MMD Comparison video: A Little Fun/HALFBY - Rodeo Machine

MMD cup 5 produced a lot of great videos. After seeing this one I knew it would rate well. Later while looking up the song, I discovered it was based on a similar video for the song they used. When I saw how similar the videos where I thought it'd be a cool project to compare them side by side. The similarities make it almost as much fun as the differences!

Also this took me like 7 hours to put together! Seriously, there's gotta be an easier way to make these types of videos on PC with free software. I used Firefox's Video Download Helper to get the videos, Avidemux for some editing along with Leawo Free AVI Converter for some file conversion, as well as an AVIsynth script in VirtualDub and VirtualDubMod to finally cobble it together side by side. Don't ask exactly how, it was a lot of trial and error. (late entry: I needed to use DVDVideSoft Free Video to Flash Converter to compress the video into FLV, because Youtube has been having upload errors for months and I can't spend ANOTHER 8 hours uploading a 5 minute video only to have it vanish into thin air. FIX YOUR UPLOADER GOOGLE.)

As usual no ownership is intended or implied this video is the hard work of many talented people, all I did was put the comparison of already available videos together for fans to view and enjoy!

A little background: The more exposure you get to the MMD and Vocaloid culture one of the things you find out eventually is that 39 is a number associated with Miku due to the fact that Japanese symbols that make up her name also stand for the numbers 3(Mi) and 9(Ku). By your other comment I assume you might be confused that the original Music video actually wasnt done in MMD.
