  • This song is actually a hymn from the new testament. Hymn #260 written 1899 by John R. Clemens. And it's Night, not Light: There Is No Night. Done beautifully as always by Mairead :)))

  • So lovely, and the music is just awesome. so much better on live, than on the CDs or maybe its just my player system. I spend so much time on my computer I love to take breaks and watch and listen to Mariead. She does wonders for the soul with that music of hers.

  • The hymn is an entirely different tune. The sheet music can be found online.

  • This song makes me sleep like a baby, best "song that helps me to sleep" I have ever heard!

I'm so glad I've found it, Mairead is so talented and beautiful : ' )

  • Soooo Beautiful

    Thank You

  • -- WTF? I thought Mairead was a MUTE?!

-- Mairead is one of a group of talented beautiful young women who perform like no one I've ever seen. The orchestra with all of it's string & wind instrumente; & percussion set the pace for the unbelievable voices of these performers. Add to that the pixie-like charm of this firefly violin player, who seems to float & fly everywhere on stage, & the audience is left breathless. This is truly an unforgettable musical event that has something for everyone.

  • THIS IS HER BEST SONG

  • touches the soul

  • Thank you Krutov22 for the lyrics. Mairead is more than astounding with this production.

I believe that Mairead is far and above any violin musician with this rendition of There Is No Night, hymn

  • Hi there. It's the Trinity Hymnal. Hymn #548. And some more data: #220 in Hymns for Worship Revised and #407 in Sacred Selections for the Church.

  • @TheGuyThatSaysStuff

do you know where I can get the sheet music for this?

  • @Krutov22

    Hello!

From what hymnal? The old National Baptist?

I sang it at my grandmother's funeral in 1966- I was 10 years old.

I sang it to a dying friend 2 days ago, and he died the next day...he drifted off to sleep like he was listening to a lullabye- so beautiful.
