I also thought u couldn't fast on the 10th of Muharram but found out otherwise..I believe the Shia Ulama agree its good to fast on the 10th of Muharram but NOT for the same reasons sunni's do it (cuz of Moses)..but fast from dawn (fajr) till afternoon (Asr) so from Fajr-Asr instead of Fajr-Maghrib..cuz at Asr time is when the life of Imam Husain (as) was taken and went to his Lord.
