The Mandolin Cafe's Song A Week Social Group Week #12 Tune is Swallowtail Jig. I usually play this on mandolin, but decided to try it out on my Slingerland May Bell Style B Tenor Banjo, which is in Irish Tuningh (GDAE). Also tyring to incorporate triplets in Irish Tradition!

  • Barbara, I like the sound of your banjo. What gauge strings do you use for that tuning? Thanks!

  • I'm not sure of the gauges right off the bat, but I believe they are the d'addario irish tenor set

  • good rhythm and triplets. Slowly but surely you will become faster without sacrificing rhythm. Ver good indeed
