Adorable! My only issue is that Pits should be taught that it's never okay to put their teeth on anyone - even playfully. Unfortunately, this world is full of people who would like to see my favorite breed destroyed, and will report something as fun and playful as "mouthing" as a "Pit Bull bite/attack".

@1864vampirelover I'm a dog trainer, so I'm well informed on such things. However, if you'll note, I said, "Please remember, people are morons." It doesn't matter if your Pittie doesn't "clamp down", all that matters to a moron is that your Pit put their mouth on someone. All that it will take for your dog to get destroyed is for them to put their mouth on the wrong moron.

Actually, all it would take for your Pit to be killed is to accidentally scratch the wrong moron (by either tooth or claw).

@Ten13Grl When a dog either puts your arm or your hand in their mouth it's actually a sign of affection its like their way of giving kisses my pit mix does the same thing and she never clamps down. Pits have always been my favorite breed of dog and always will be. It's really ashame that people turn these dogs into monsters because they're actually one of the sweetest family dogs you can have :)

@NomNom126 I've said a few times already that no breed should be allowed to put their teeth on anyone. The reason I stress the importance of not allowing your Pittie to do it is because if the tooth of your Pit winds up touching the skin of the wrong person, your Pit stands a much higher chance of being killed.

Yes, this is unfair, but if we want our breed to survive these times (like so many other breeds have done), then we have to be extra careful and ensure our dogs are perfect ambassadors.

@Ten13Grl Good point :) it's not just pits though. You shouldn't allow any dog to think that mouthing is acceptable. I have two chihuahuas and a pit. Those chihuahuas have done more damage to me with their teeth that my pit has ever done

Im a shelter volunteer and socialize pits regularly. Never had a problem with any, we play kinda the way you do in the video. I see new pits and I approach and they just want love, thanks for posting.
