Thank you for posting this! I've found a '68 OHC-6 for sale and am considering it...I love the classics but a V-8 is just too hard to feed these days. Have you taken any long-distance drives in it? What's the mpg?

does anybody know if i could put one of these into my 78 formula? i bought one for 100$ on craigslist in good shape and i'm gonna rebuild it. either goin into my 78 or my dads 65 GTO. i just want to know how much trouble it would be to go into my 78 firebird though.

I dont know a whole lot about the engine as far as hands on or even the amount of power it can be built to, I have read that the bottom half of the engine is "half" a V8 PMD (Pontiac Motor Division) that makes it a very strong engine and durable. yahoo image "pontiac banshee 1964" the "bump" on the hood it the OHC timing cover. Vette stold the looks from this car for its own, and GM killed it cuz it was better then their Chevy vette. Chevy is GMs little whore cheap bitch!

I understand that the base OHC-6 put out about 175 brake horsepower which If I understand was probably the most powerful standard six at the time. What was the performance like for that engine and how durable was it?

What's the date of that issue? Also forgive my ignorance but is the SBC small block Chevy or what?

PMD came up with a bunch of stuff that GM killed or never let happen. Why? because PMD was just better then the cookie cut cheap made engines and cars by Chevy! thespeez, The last Pontiac Enthusiast mag I got talked about the Sprint. It's a very cool engine that would go great with a small turbo is a T bucked or hot rod car, screw the SBC, over used, bland, cheap cast GMs fav bitch chevy!
