Reise nach Kandahar

Vor Jahren flüchtete sie aus Afghanistan nach Kanada. Nun reist die Journalistin Nafas zurück in ihre Heimat, nicht aus beruflichen Gründen, sondern weil ihr die in Kandahar zurückgebliebene Schwester einen Hilferuf geschickt hat. Am Tag der letzten Sonnenfinsternis im 20. Jahrhundert will sie sich das Leben nehmen - eine Existenz in Afghanistan sei unerträglich geworden. Im Uno-Lager an der Grenze verkleidet sich Nafas als vierte Ehefrau eines Flüchtlings und bricht zusammen mit dessen Familie in Richtung Kandahar auf. Nach einem Überfall muss sie sich allein durchschlagen, heuert dann den der Koranschule verwiesenen Jugendlichen Chakan als Führer an. Es eilt, denn bis zur Sonnenfinsternis bleiben nur noch drei Tage ...

Thre are no terrists at all in Afganistan. Who says that?

Tell me one Afghan who has ever attacked the West. Exactly, there is no single Afghan being accused of terrorism against Western life style or whatever.

The kind of terror we find at home is part of our internal affairs. But it is important to remark that suicide bombings in Afghanistan have no tradition. The first suicide attack ever has occured after the US invasion after 9/11.

Das ist wirklich ein großartiger Film, der mich sehr verändert hat. Ich habe ungeheur viel über Afghanistan gelernt. Man muss ihn unbedingt gesehen haben!!!
