A crew of British military men were each given LSD-25 (Acid) while on the field. Here is what happened:

@Baioken, it was more likely tested to see it's effect on soldiers in general so it could be used to attack the opposition.
Like a non-lethal germ attack.
Obviously you wouldn't give it to ur own soldiers, that would be ridiculous.....

@CaptainFysh no. it doesn't kill you, and only causes permanent mental effects if you take extreme doses or have a history of mental illness. you know what does kill you? alcohol. tobacco. aspirin. caffeine. prescription drugs. etc. etc. etc. hallucinogens are at the bottom of the list below most legal substances, so if you're going to lecture to people about something, i suggest you try one of those substances before attacking hallucinogens.

Yeah LSD makes you crazy, their mind was like "Battle, killing eachother for tirannic totalitarian governments controlled by the finnacial system, what a joke, those swine fascists" and then bursted out in laughter after realizing it was a simulation and how amazing LSD really is.

@arnaud360 you misinterpreted my point. it's illegal because it makes people non-violent, it turns them from brainwashed robots into human beings. dudes would rather feed birds than fight wars. that's not useful to governments. it opens your mind, and it gets much harder to buy into bullshit fear propaganda the same way that you used to.
and it's fun.
and thusly, it is illegal.
