This is my favorite commercial of all time. I used to walk around by myself saying "the one thing i could do.... is finger roll" for years after it was aired. I never understood why they laughed at that though. Oh well who cares this commercial rules.

Iceman's comment is also funny because he says "ONE THING I could do" was finger-roll...When actually the man could score IN EVERY WAY UNDER THE SUN: long bomb jumpshots (off the ear); driving dunks, tap ins, turn-around jumpers from closer in, etc. He did not score 30 points a game on finger-rolls alone!

Hardaway is talking about the "butterfly collar" Gervin is wearing in the iconic Iceman poster. Gervin is sitting on those blocks of ice and he's got that amazing silver sweatsuit on, with the big collar like butterfly wings, typical of the 1970s. So Hardaway is just saying that if Gervin wore that outfit walking around the streets of San Antonio, he'd burn up.
If you don't get that comment, you have never been to San Antonio. I live there. IT'S HOT. Trust me on this.

They aren't Laughing about Nothing bro. Back in the 1970's George Gervin's signature quote was "one thing can do is Finger Roll". Kinda Like Muhammad Ali saying "Float like a Butterfly and sting like a bee". Get it.?

I agree with you. It's a simple commercial of, basically, people just talking/joking around. It's like how it would be in a real Harlem barbershop or any African American barbershop.
