@mixerdog79 When you are a performing artist, you go on what are called tours, and in so doing, you may visit a community where a lot of your fans are white. I 'm white, and I liked music like this from the very first day it came out, back in the early eighties, when I was a little kid.

not originally... the "dance" came years later as a skit on THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR with Will & Carleton - and it just caught on has become associated with the song now for those of this generation.
