Old downtown Sugar Land in the early 50's. Curley is walking down the sidewalk, and Syb Fowler gets a closeup shot. You can see most of the stores and the motor company and refinery, plus all of the old autos in the parking lot. The voices in the background are Dad and me. There is a clip of Mrs. Boyer's kindergarten class that Lynell and I attended. Lynell and her mother (head clipped off) and brother James, are shown together. Everett Schrum is on the swingset. Karen and I are together and there is a shot of Ricky Kirkpatrick. This would have been 1954. Then there is a shot of a birthday party of Karen's on Brook street with Jane Hanna and a toy lawnmower. There is a brief glimpse of Helen Hanna and a shot of Karen and Belinda Jenkins (holding a balloon). There is also a very brief glimpse of Johnny Armstrong and Jane at the curb of Brooks Street in the front yard (at 204 Brooks). (We still own the house at present and are in the process of repairing it from a recent fire.)
Hope you enjoy this.

Thank for posting this video. I live in the Hill on Main street. It's great seeing what the neighborhood looked like back then.
