Public Dedication of Convergy's Newest Facility

Glorietta 5, Makati City

To show her support to one of the fastest growing business process outsourcing (BPO) companies in the country, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo led the ribbon-cutting of the newest Convergys facility at the Glorietta 5 in Makati City. 
President Arroyo personally inspected the 17,000 sq.m. working area of the new 3,500 employees of Convergys Glorietta 5. She also conversed with some of the people in the workplace while walking around. 
The president was accompanied by Convergys Vice President and Country Manager Marife Zamora, Convergys Senior Vice President for Global Human Resources Clark Handy, US Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney and Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Peter Favila. 
Convergys is an international corporation that provides services for telecommunications, information technology, pharmaceuticals, retail and e-commerce, direct response and finance. In the Philippines, Convergys facilities are located in Cebu City, Bacolod, Laguna and Manila where it employs an approximate of 17,000 Filipinos.
