  • Very nice, I wouldn't have ever thought to do that song with that sort beat, but I liked it. Just one question; Jason, do you sing? ;-)

  • Thanks. I remember a long time ago, I think we were at praise team practice, and I started playing the chords in a 70's disco way, and then our drummer started playing this cool disco beat and there it was! We decided to play it that way on Sunday. It stuck and we always played it that way after that,

No, I don't sing. My wife thinks I do, but I don't know....?

    :)

  • Excellent guys - i also playit this way in an uptempo beat.GREAT!!!!!!!! Austr.

  • It's funny....after playing it this way for so long, the other way just doesn't seem right.

    Thank you.

  • This is one of my most favorite worship songs. The upbeat tempo you used sounds really good with electric guitar and drums.I prefer a slower tempo for this song, but I do like your version.GOD bless you for this post

  • Thank you. I really appreciate that.

I like the song both ways. We love taking a song and making it become something totally unique. We were just messing around one night at paise team practice and I started playing this disco thing. I was just being silly, but it ended up sounding really cool. So, some how we ended up doing it that way every since. It's also a lot of fun to play it this way.

  • that is so true - i normally take a song and rearrange it to my style of singing.

Bless u and i trust the Lord will continue to minister and give u favour in your talent.

  • I told Kate and she was really happy to hear that you were blassed in such a way. She said she would love to do the middle harmony, but always has to do the lead part.

It's very cool that your voice blends really well with theirs. It's like you're here singing with us! May the Lord bless you!

  • Hey, I had fun adding the middle harmony between Kate and Judy....sang in a trio with my mom and sister for 25 years but she moved to England so it is rarer that I get to sing that close 3-part sound but we blend well together; ya'll and me! Thanks

  • Yes. My wife and I are the praise & worship leaders at our church. We have bass (Kate), electric guitar (me), 2 acoustic guitar players, drums, percussion, piano, flute, and several singers. We try to do a mix of praise & worship songs and old hymns (done in a contemporary way). It works really well!

  • awesome! you guys have praise band at church?
